1} Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes. I’ve only just started reading this memoir – I’m up to the point where she has just made the decision to say “Yes” to anything that scares her, and has already had to step up to a couple of challenges. It’s a great read for anyone who lets fear stop them from doing things.
2} Body positive Instagram. I recently followed a boatload of plus size models, clothing lines, and magazines, in an effort to change my perspective and de-program my skewed perception of what the “ideal” body looks like. My IG feed is now filled with all kinds of women, and I can already see a shift in my thinking.
3} Ashley Graham at TEDx. She inspired me to start looking at myself in the mirror and say nice things to myself. In her TED talk, she speaks more about the body positive movement – and rocks her curves in a skin-tight dress.
4} I Periscoped myself cooking an eMeals recipe yesterday, and eMeals retweeted it! I had the best retention rate I’ve ever had on Periscope. I’m so happy for the shout out – makes me want to cook and inspire others to get in their kitchens even more! (You can catch the broadcast replay, but only until this evening!)
